The Travelwest Business Awards 2016, held last night at St George's Hall in Bristol, recognise and celebrate the successes of businesses across the West of England that are making significant contributions to sustainable travel across the region.

Ecosurety was presented with the award for the innovative CSR project joinmyjourney, the free-to-use website and mobile apps that promote and facilitate journey sharing by car, bicycle and foot for commuters travelling to the same organisation or business location.

Initially launched in November 2015 to 8,000 commuters working at Aztec West business park in North Bristol where Ecosurety is based, joinmyjourney has now rolled out to various other locations for free including the NHS North Bristol Trust and the University of the West of England.

The project was made possible thanks to additional funding and support from South Gloucester Council, and with the backing of Bristol Council five new sites are due to launch in the city that will also be free to use for businesses and commuters.

Part of Ecosurety's Change for good CSR initiative, the project is a unique collaboration between the private and public sector to solve a significant issue in the local community, one that is now benefiting commuters and the environment far beyond the original launch location of Aztec West.

Managing director James Piper and marketing communication specialist Ben Luger also had the pleasure of presenting the story of joinmyjourney and Change for good to the packed audience of sustainability specialists, business leaders, local government and academics, sharing the ethos and purpose behind Ecosurety's CSR activities. This coincided with the publication of the new Change for good section on the Ecosurety website, detailing the CSR activities of the organisation.
