Ecosurety Director appointed to PackUK Steering Group

Our Innovation and Policy Director, Robbie Staniforth, has been appointed as a permanent member of the PackUK Scheme Administrator Steering Group.
As the only person on the body with compliance scheme experience, he brings a unique perspective to discussions that will shape the packaging industry.
What is PackUK?
PackUK is the scheme administrator for the UK’s Extended Producer Responsibility for packaging (pEPR) programme. To guide its work, PackUK will bring together experts from across the packaging value chain to form four advisory bodies supporting the Scheme Administrator Executive Committee (SA ExCo).
The Scheme Administrator Steering Group is one of these bodies and will provide strategic insight and recommendations to drive the improvement of the pEPR system.
Robbie reappointed to steer PackUK’s next chapter
Robbie served on the Steering Group that formed to stand up PackUK for 18 months. His renewed, permanent appointment underscores his expertise and the value of his contributions to national policy development.
“I'm delighted to resume my role on the PackUK Steering Group, having thoroughly enjoyed the previous challenge of guiding the organisation's inception. This next phase will include scaling operations and assessing early outcomes from the new EPR system. It represents a step change in maturity for PackUK. I hope to bring some continuity to the group and look forward to getting started by meeting the newly formed team this week.”
