Ecosurety release responses to all four packaging consultations

In February this year, Defra launched of a series of detailed consultations into the future of packaging extended producer responsibility, a new Deposit Return Scheme, a new plastic packaging tax and improving consistency of recycling collections.

This followed the publication of the ambitious Resources & Waste Strategy in December last year. This strategy sets out plans to comprehensively reform the UK’s approach to managing waste materials and move the UK towards a more circular economy.

Ecosurety recently shared its response to the 'Consultation on reforming the UK packaging producer responsibility system', including a proposal for an alternative centralised competition governance model. Now, ahead of the deadline of 13 May, the responses to all four consultations by Ecosurety are publicly available by filling in the short form below.

The Government’s consultations on reforming the UK packaging recycling system is open to businesses, trade bodies, local authorities, waste management companies and recycling companies. The deadline for submissions is Monday 13 May and we encourage as many stakeholders to respond as possible, to ensure all voices are heard across industry.
