We are Carbon Literate
In 2023, we became an accredited Carbon Literate Organisation because we're committed to fighting the climate crisis.
What is a Carbon Literate Organisation?
Carbon Literacy is an awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis.
It is achieved through one-day of training, developed by the Carbon Literacy Project. Learners are certified as Carbon Literate after submitting pledges to reduce their carbon impact.

A Carbon Literate Organisation (CLO) has been accredited by The Carbon Literacy Project as making a substantial commitment to Carbon Literacy. The accreditation is important because it recognises a Carbon Literate workforce and an organisation that engages positively with its community to develop and deliver low carbon behaviour.

We are a Gold Carbon Literate Organisation
In 2025 we were accredited as a Gold Carbon Literate Organisation.
This recognises that we have trained and certified a high majority of our team as Carbon Literate, including our CEO. We have incorporated Carbon Literacy into our performance management, we deliver Carbon Literacy to other organisations and we actively promote our commitment to it.
Naturally, we’re working hard towards the highest level of accreditation that pushes us to go even further.
Supporting the Carbon Literacy Project
In 2024, we became a Silver Partner of the Carbon Literacy Project to further our commitment and support.
We sponsored the 2024 Carbon Literate Organisation Awards which celebrated the inspiring progress of 99 organisations around the world, across every sector. We also delivered a live Q&A at the event to share our experience and progress so far.
“Ecosurety’s partnership with us exemplifies how a company already leading in the sustainability field can use Carbon Literacy to up its game even further. Being able to optimise every staff member’s contribution to tackling the climate crisis is what we’re all about, and using that capacity to drive better performance in their stakeholder networks is great to see.”
