Carbon Literacy training for the packaging sector - book now!

Introduction

Carbon Literacy is “an awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions on and individual, community and organisational basis”.

Being Carbon Literate empowers you and your organisation to make better decisions to reduce carbon impacts and communicate to stakeholders about carbon more confidently. Our course is accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project and has a specific focus on the impacts of packaging.

Who is it for?

This training is perfect for anyone working with packaging, from packaging producers and manufacturers to retailers and distributors.

What will I learn?

Our Carbon Literacy training takes place in person, over a whole day. It is delivered by Ecosurety CEO Will Ghali and Data Team Manager Fergus Mooney, to a group of up to 15 people and involves group discussions. The training covers:

  • The science and history of climate change
  • How climate change will affect your business
  • The carbon impacts of packaging
  • Tools relevant to you and your business
  • How to take action in your business
  • Confidence to influence others to take action
  • Inspiring action that others are taking now

You will complete a form to confirm understanding, including pledges to reduce carbon impacts. This form is checked by the Carbon Literacy Project to certify you as Carbon Literate.

Please note that we do not cover what packaging materials or formats you should switch to. This is unique to each individual circumstance and is beyond the scope of the training.

When and where is it?

This in-person training will take place from 9am to 5pm on 1 November 2024. The training takes place at Clockwise, Generator Building, Bristol, BS1 6BX.

What does it cost?

The training is charged at £200 per person, including refreshments and a vegetarian lunch.

Premium Ecosurety members are entitled to one free training place per calendar year, with additional places being charged at the standard rate.
