PackUK, the newly established scheme administrator, are seeking applicants to join three expert voluntary groups, that will help govern the packaging EPR system.
The groups are a technical advisory committee (TAC) on the Recyclability Assessment Methodology, an additional group looking at local authority efficiency and effectiveness, and a TAC relating to consumer communications and behaviour change.
The three committees will ‘play a central role in guiding PackUK as it grows and develops’, by providing recommendations and guidance. PackUK are looking for a range of packaging value-chain experts for the three advisory committees, with demonstrable experience in the various sectors.
The appointments will be decided on merit, and the recruitment process will be finalised by the end of April. Although the groups won’t make policy or strategic decisions around EPR, they are a great opportunity to ensure both public and private sector expertise is used to shape the system.
The deadline for applications has now been extended to 24 March, and applicants will need to submit a supporting statement and their CV. You can apply here.
