We’re delighted to publish our seventh annual impact report, sharing and reflecting on how we have used our business as a force for good over the past year.
The report reflects our commitment to positively impacting the environment, our communities and our people, and transparently shares details of the variety of projects we’ve supported with our members.
A year of growth and milestones
It’s been another significant year. We’ve continued to evolve, and our decision to divest from WEEE and battery compliance has allowed us to invest our expertise in our packaging EPR data offering, where we can make the biggest positive impact.
We’re proud to be a compliance scheme that strives to go beyond compliance, and works to accelerate change towards an environmentally and socially sustainable world.
This past year, there has been significant progress with the Flexible Plastic Fund, launching nine kerbside collection pilots and releasing an interim report. We also supported the launch of the first AI platform for tracking the recycling journey of flexible plastics, providing transparency for supermarket chains like Aldi.
We were delighted that after 18 months of hard work, we re-certified as a B Corp with an improved score. We’ve also become a Silver Carbon Literate Organisation by training 60% of our staff and delivering training to our members to promote climate action.
Committed to accelerating change
Our CEO Will Ghali commented: "The Impact Report is always a great opportunity for us to pause and celebrate the achievements of the past year. It's great to see the progress that's been made and it drives us to continue setting ambitious goals for the future, ensuring we continue to accelerate positive change."
We could not have done this without our dedicated team and the trust and confidence of our members – so thank you for your unwavering support."
